Expert Medical Counsel
The Braselton Clinic was established by two internal medicine board-certified specialists, Dr. Gary Dalley and Dr. James Jackson. Known as the “doctor's doctor,” internists diagnose and treat multiple medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, heart disease, and depression. The doctors' special training enables them to get to the root of a problem, whether it's a common sore throat or a more complex condition. For this reason, internists make excellent doctors for adults of any age.

Gary M. Dalley, M.D.

Dr. Gary M. Dalley, M.D.Never satisfied with the status quo and usually in motion, Dr. Gary Dalley has never feared change. Before becoming a physician, he served in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, and was then a software engineer at ITT. Dr. Dalley often comments how his years in the navy and then at a computer terminal gave him a lot of insight into how different work situations affect a person's health.

Dr. Dalley, a 1983 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis , earned his M.D. from Wake Forest University and completed his residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill . He came to Georgia in 1998, and before opening the Braselton Clinic he practiced in Gainesville where he conducted numerous clinical trials, developed an ADA-certified diabetes teaching program, and served as the hospital chief of staff.

While Dr. Dalley enjoys sorting out various medical problems, he has taken a particular interest in diabetes and is a certified American diabetes provider. He comments, “I will explore every reasonable avenue to help someone in trouble, always realizing that I may treat illness, but it is God who heals.”

Dr. Dalley enjoys running, biking, golf, reading, and computers. He and his wife, Tricia, who works as a nurse practitioner, have two children, Corinne, 8, and Garrett, 5.

  James D. Jackson, M.D.

Dr. James D. Jackson, M.D.If you were to visit Jim Jackson at home, you might find him picking vegetables, pruning the roses he loves to grow, or as he comments, “looking for a better way to do practically everything.”

A Braselton native, Dr. Jackson was raised by his mother and grandparents and knew early on he wanted to become a physician like his father. With hard work and determination, he earned his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Georgia and then went on to Emory University where he earned his M.D. and completed his residency in Internal Medicine. Before coming home to Braselton to open the Braselton Clinic, he practiced Internal Medicine in Gainesville , where he also held numerous leadership positions.

Dr. Jackson and his wife, Karen, who teaches visually impaired adults and children, have three children; daughter, Darby; and two sons, Braz and Billy.
